Applying your polish when it’s too hot can lead to a bubbly disaster! Those little bubbles that pop up during drying? They’re caused by trapped air and rapid drying, both of which are more likely to happen when it’s sweltering outside. If you’ve ever noticed your polish looking like it has a case of the fizzies, the temperature is likely to blame.

Here’s the good news—if you find your polish getting thick or bubbly, don’t toss it just yet! Simply let it cool down first to decide if your polish is still good or on it's way out. Once it returns to a normal temperature try again, your polish should go back to its usual smooth, easy-to-apply self. So, if you accidentally left your “Do What I Rosé” in a sunbeam, just give it some time to rest in a cool place before using it again. But as a rule, always store your nail polish in a cool, dark place in a drawer away from windows. This helps maintain the polish's consistency and prolong its shelf life.

Shade Your Nails: 

We recommend painting your nails and allowing it to dry indoors, but we understand that the sun waits for no one! So when you're out in the sun, try to keep your hands shaded. This can help prevent your polish from fading and reduce the risk of bubbles forming as it dries.

Thin It Out: 

As a last ditch attempt, if your polish gets a little thick and sticky, don't panic! Add a few drops of nail polish thinner (not remover) to bring it back to life. Just be sure to shake it well before applying.

Hot weather can speed up the drying process which means as you paint that polish is getting less viscous! Which can lead to uneven layers and a nightmare to paint. Apply your polish in thin, even coats and let each layer dry completely before applying the next. And here’s a crucial tip: Don’t overwork the polish by constantly brushing over the same spot—it makes the polish thicken quicker and then you are done for. Instead, apply your polish during cooler times of the day, like early morning or late evening, for the best results. Trust us, it’s worth the wait!
